Plastic Injection Molding Components

Trinetra Enterprises is a plastic injection molding components manufacturer in India, based in Talawade, Pune. We build the tooling that produces your plastic parts — not the parts themselves. If you are an OEM, Tier-1, or Tier-2 supplier looking to develop a new injection mould, transfer an existing tool, or refurbish one nearing end-of-life, our shop is set up for the job.

This is mould-making — long lead times, tight tolerances, tool steel rather than thermoplastic. A different conversation from buying moulded components, and a different page on this site. If you need finished plastic parts in volume, head to our injection moulding components page instead.

Building Injection Moulds in Pune Since 2000

Trinetra Enterprises has been designing and manufacturing plastic injection moulds out of Talawade, Pune for 2000 years. Our customers are spread across India, with a concentration in the Pune-Chakan automotive belt, Aurangabad, Pithampur, Chennai, and the Delhi NCR cluster.

We are -person team. The shop runs CNC milling centres,  EDM machines (sinker and wire-cut), surface grinders, conventional milling and turning capacity, and an in-house sampling press of for tool trials. Quality lab includes Certifications:

Single-Cavity Production Moulds:For low-to-medium volume runs and large parts where multi-cavity tooling does not make economic sense. Typical applications: automotive interior panels, appliance housings, larger packaging containers.

Multi-Cavity & Family Moulds:

2-cavity, 4-cavity, 8-cavity and higher, depending on part size and the host moulding machine. Family moulds for kit-style assemblies where multiple related parts come off the same shot. Maximum cavities depends on part geometry and shot weight — we will work the cavity count back from your annual volume target.

Technical Consultation & Support:
Cold-runner tooling for cost-sensitive parts and shorter production runs. Hot-runner systems for high-volume production where runner waste, cycle time, and finish quality justify the investment. We integrate hot-runner controllers and manifolds

 Insert Moulds & Overmoulds:

Brass insert moulds for threaded inserts in electrical and automotive applications. Two-shot and overmould tooling for soft-touch grips, gasket integration, and dual-material parts.

Prototype & Bridge Tooling:

Aluminium or soft-steel moulds for design validation runs before committing to production tooling. Useful when you need 500-5,000 parts for field trials or regulatory approval before locking the final design.

What We Build as a Plastic Injection Mould Manufacturer in India | Tool Steels & Mould Materials We Work With

The right steel makes or breaks a mould. We size the tool steel to the part geometry, expected production volume, and the plastic being moulded:

  • P20 (pre-hardened) — workhorse for general-purpose moulds, good machinability, suitable for most commodity thermoplastics
  • H13 — hot-work tool steel for higher-temperature applications, longer mould life on abrasive materials
  • S136 / 1.2083 — stainless tool steel for medical, food-contact, and optically-critical moulds; corrosion-resistant for PVC, FR-rated polymers
  • NAK80 — for high-polish finish requirements, lens moulds, mirror-finish parts
  • Mild steel & EN-series — for prototype tooling and short-run applications
  • Aluminium (6061/7075) — bridge tooling and low-volume production

Tell us the part, the polymer, the expected shot count over the mould’s lifetime, and the surface finish requirement. We will recommend the steel grade rather than over-specifying.

Mould pricing in India typically ranges from ₹[FILL] to ₹[FILL] depending on size, cavitation, steel grade, hot-runner inclusion, and finish requirement. We are not the cheapest quote in the market and we do not try to be. The cheapest mould tends to be the most expensive over its life — measured in scrap rate, downtime, and replacement frequency.

What we quote for and stand behind:

  • Tool life expectation in shots, not a vague “long life” claim
  • Cycle time target validated during sampling
  • Cavity-to-cavity dimensional variation within [FILL: e.g. ±0.05 mm]
  • Documented gate, ejection, and cooling layout the receiving moulder can actually work with

If your spec is fine with a basic mould off a generic catalogue, we are not the right vendor. If you want a mould that runs for years without surprises, the conversation works.

What a Trinetra Mould Costs and Why

How a Mould Project Runs at Trinetra

A typical mould project takes [FILL: 8-14] weeks from PO to first sampled parts. Faster on simpler tools, longer on multi-cavity hot-runner builds.

  1. DFM review. Send your 3D model in STEP or IGES format. We review for moulding feasibility — draft angles, wall thickness, ejection access, parting line, gating options. You get a marked-up DFM document within [FILL: e.g. 5-7] working days, before any quote is locked in. This step prevents the expensive rework that comes from designing a part that cannot be moulded.
  2. Quotation. Once the DFM is signed off, we quote with cavitation, steel grade, hot-runner spec, mould base size, projected lead time, and tool life expectation.
  3. Mould design. CAD work in [FILL: e.g. UG NX / SolidWorks / PTC Creo]. Flow analysis on complex parts using [FILL: Moldflow / Moldex3D / similar]. Final 2D drawings and a critical-dimension list sent for customer approval before we start cutting steel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a new injection mould? Typically 8-14 weeks from PO. Simple single-cavity moulds run shorter. Multi-cavity hot-runner tools or moulds with complex slide actions run longer. We commit to a date at the quotation stage, not after.

Can you build moulds for parts I designed myself? Yes. Send the 3D model in STEP or IGES. We will do a free DFM review and flag any moulding issues before quoting. If changes are needed, we suggest minimum-impact options to keep your design intent intact.

Do you handle hot-runner systems? Yes. We work with [FILL: list 2-3 hot-runner brands you use]. Specify your preference or let us recommend based on part geometry and shot weight.

Can you take over a mould built by another vendor? Yes. We inspect, document, repair if required, and re-sample before formal hand-over. Tool transfers are common when a customer changes contract moulders or wants tooling closer to their production base.
